Going beyond Picasa and Microsoft Paint!
We have all come to love Google Picasa, however it does have some limitations when it comes to graphical editing. Over the next few weeks I will be looking at alternative software for doing this. If you want a preview, the first session will be at the Deal Centre on Wednesday 1st June and again on Thursday 9th at the Dover Riverside Centre.

Yes, I find Picasa simple and easy to use but if there's another simple but better alternative I'll be interested.

Having tested Paint.Net over the last few months, I can recommend it as an addition to Picasa. Picasa does have the advantage that it is easy to use, whereas Paint.Net does require some work to get the best out of it. The software can be obtained from www.getpaint.net. If you are going to start using Paint.Net, let me know and I will assist with getting you started.
