Having just returned from a cruise to southern Europe and checked my mobile bill I saw I had been charged roaming. When I checked with my mobile company it appears that FREE roaming is not now available on ferries or cruise ships as they use the nearest sats to connect which could be anywhere and so you will be charged. If you use the cruise ships wi-fi it will still be chargeable so beware. Phil.
