The deadline for a free upgrade (from Windows 7 or Windows 8) to Windows 10 is 29 July.

 

Highway has scheduled two more dates for Windows 10 upgrade days:

 

21st June: Wealden Avenue, Tenterden

 

22nd June: Deal Centre, Deal

If you are unable to bring your laptop along to either of these dates, we can upgrade your laptop at our workshops.  As the work can take several hours to complete, we will need your laptop (or desktop) for at least a day to make sure everything is working correctly.  We make a nominal charge of £36 for this service.

 

There are certain makes and models of computers that are problematic with Windows 10, but we will advise if yours is one of this small group before attempting the upgrade.

 

As previously notified, we do need to know that you have all your important data backed up in some form.  If you don't have a backup system in place, we will install Highway (Livedrive) Backup for you before the upgrade and this will be free for 3 months, after which we can either remove it or you can subscribe to the service by adding £3 a month to your membership (note that Livedrive Backup is included with new Full - £25 a month - membership).
