Hello everyone, I’ve recently been considering purchasing a second-hand car and a couple of my friends have advised me to go for a car from a Japan auction. The reviews I’ve read have been positive in terms of prices, but I am still in doubt since the cars come from a long way and the whole procedure of bidding and inspection seems really confusing at first. Is there any member in this forum who has ever bought a car from japan car auction? How much reliance can be put on the condition sheets and grades they are providing? Moreover, what is the import process like? How much hassle is involved in dealing with shipping, customs and registration as soon as the car reaches you? I would appreciate it if you could share your experiences with me no matter whether they are positive or negative. Did you think it was worth the effort as compared to buying locally? If you have used a broker or auction site, which one did you choose and why? Thanks in advance, any input will certainly help me to decide if this is the right way to go!
